Compliance with Pandemic Regulations - During COVID-19 and any other emergency, you agree to strictly follow not only the rules of Kernville Cowork, but also the rules and regulations put forth by Kern County and the state of California. Our workspace is covered by the regulations for "Office Workspaces". At times, this may require that members that are not "essential workers" as defined by the state of California may not utilize the indoor workspace. Rules regarding mask usage are not negotiable.
Open Environment - This is an open office shared by many different peoples and organizations. Anything said should be expected to be heard by others if you like it or not. You agree to not inappropriately share, reproduce, or use or attempt to obtain information or materials of any member or their business not intentionally made available to you. Also, Kernville Cowork is not liable for any misappropriation of private, trade secret information or business information by members or guests.
Internet/Network Usage - No spamming, posting or downloading files that you know or should know are illegal or that you have no rights to. Do not access any other device connected to the Kernville Cowork network or the Internet that you do not have permission to access.
Liability - All members and guests are responsible for their own belongings and actions. You are responsible and may be held financially accountable for harm or damage caused by an action or inaction on your part or the part of any guest you bring into Kernville Cowork. We recommend you maintain insurance, appropriate to your business, to cover liability, loss, theft, damage and the like. Our insurance does not protect you or your business.
Guests - Any guest must be accompanied by a member at all times. The inviting member will be responsible for their guests actions at all times.
Keys - Any keys provided belong to the building owner. Failure to return keys at the end of the agreement will result in a $150 charge. The keys remain the property of the building owner at all times.
Renewal and Termination - Membership is a privilege not a right. Gross misconduct can result in immediate termination. Kernville Cowork renewal is automatic unless changed by the member. Member can terminate this agreement at any time by cancelling their subscription in the online system or providing written notice. Kernville Cowork retains the right to cancel or revoke membership at any time for any reason. Any unused portion of a monthly membership will be refunded, prorated based on the number of days remaining in the invoice period. Day pass fees are non-refundable.
Invoicing and Payment - The member is automatically invoiced monthly in advance based on their membership option. Also included is any variable charges such as meeting room bookings that may have been incurred during the previous period. Payment is required upon receipt of the invoice. The beginning/end of the invoice period is based on the date that the member’s join date. Payment for day passes are paid on the day of use or in advance unless other arrangements have been made with Kernville Cowork.
Consumption of Goods - Consume alcohol, food, or anything else responsibly and at your own risk. Kernville Cowork and its members have no liability for illness, accidents, or any bad thing that results from your consumption of a substance of any kind at Kernville Cowork.
Obey the law - You agree to not use Kernville Cowork for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited, including doing anything that would damage, disable, or impair any property of Kernville Cowork or its members or the members themselves. If you break the law, your membership and any future access under any circumstance will be terminated immediately.
Playground Rules - Abide by Kernville Cowork Playground Rules. By joining Kernville Cowork, you agree to abide by community rules. Those rules may change at any time and will be effective immediately upon notice.
